Millie the Milking Cow turned out with BV Dairy to support The Children’s Trust at Wincanton Racecourse’s Children’s Day Event on Sunday 17th April.

The sunny weather meant a fantastic attendance on the day and Millie was kept busy helping to entertain younger visitors during the 8 races on the card. Many children enjoyed learning about where milk comes from and the day proved a great opportunity for some of our Farm Liaison Team to meet with our Farmers on an informal basis.

To help boost the collection of funds for The Children’s Trust the staff from BV Dairy sold tickets for a raffle prize of a fantastic hamper of premium BV Dairy products (not usually available in the retail market) that were presented alongside other, mainly local, foodie treats and dairy related items. The Gruffalo kindly drew the winning ticket and a total of £325 was raised.
