TechnologyAt BV Dairy we maintain the highest standards and recognize the importance of applying advanced processing technology against a knowledgeable background of traditional techniques. We have been awarded internationally recognized BRC ‘A’ grade SAI Global accreditation for our manufacturing standards for a number of years. Special attention is directed at consistent quality for BV Dairy products and this is constantly monitored by the company's SCADA control quality assurance technology, a system which also helps ensure the Dairy is working in an environmentally aware and sustainable way. A world-class facility for manufacturing soft cheese was commissioned in May 2004 by BV Dairy. The manufacturing process uses Ultra filtration (UF) technology with which the company have been involved for 14 years. This is a relatively recent manufacturing process and one which is proving highly successful. UF is used in many European dairies though, as yet, is more uncommon in the UK dairy industry. The UF plant offers flexibility in manufacturing a range of different products and it enables BV Dairy to offer particular products for specific customer requirements. This facility has enhanced the position of BV Dairy as an innovative manufacturer of specialist dairy products to our customers, food manufacturers and food service operators. It has also enabled BV Dairy to increase its activities in product development . |
